April is Child Abuse Prevention Month

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month in Texas and across the nation. 201 children in Texas lost their lives in 2005 due to abuse and neglect. It is a time to focus on ways to not only protect children from abusive environments, but more importantly to prevent abuse from ever occurring. During April, we ask that you wear a blue ribbon to show your support of child abuse prevention and honor the children of Texas who died from abuse or neglect. Read the Story of the Blue Ribbon
